Hi Reader, Some of the pages in this Following the Directions resource have been among the most used activities with my students over the years, and it also includes Summer -themed pages that work well this time of year. These no-prep Following the Directions coloring pages were designed for my occupational therapy students to practice listening, reading, fine motor skills, and visual-motor coordination. Just print and go. Students follow step-by-step directions to complete each picture while practicing coloring, reading, handwriting, and attention to detail. They can be used teacher-led for listening activities or as independent work, centers, or early finisher activities. With 33 themed pages, including Summer, other seasonal, and year-round scenes, you’ll have activities you can use throughout the school year, as well as, Summer School. Sometimes the simplest activities end up being the ones we use the most. Hi Reader, I wanted to share with you the student behind this course. One of my students, a non-speaking autistic kindergartener, loved letters. I always provide them in some way during my OT sessions. During one therapy session, he recreated an entire sentence he had seen on a sign in our school using the letters from a Mellissa and Doug Puzzle. We did not have enough n's, and he hesitated. I showed him that a u could look like an n, and he finished this sentence. Only one word out of order....
